SAG-AFTRA & AEA

Chicago Bred. Los Angeles Based.

Award-Winning Actor & Filmmaker.

In the few years since Chloe Baldwin graduated from conservatory training at The Theatre School at DePaul (Sarah Siddons Society Scholarship), she hit the ground running in Chicago, as Perdita in The Winter’s Tale at Goodman Theatre, as the titular Woman in Black in the first U.S. National Tour of the West End hit The Woman In Black, and on screen, most notably in Steve McQueen’s film Widows, Amazon Studios’ series Utopia and Shining Girls, and even on stunts for NBC’s Chicago Fire. She was featured in the recent Anheuser-Busch National “Let’s Grab A Beer” spot and returned to Goodman this year to perform in Mary Zimmerman’s Jeff-Nominated Ensemble of The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci.

Now, Chloe has moved Los Angeles to pursue further opportunities acting in film and television.

As a professional fight choreographer, she frequently plays roles that are fighters or physically dynamic. She’s also a creator in her own right, having produced and co-written the webseries “Like What You Like” (for which she won Curious Elixirs’ Curious Creator Grant), and produced and acted in the upcoming short films “Ress” & “Morning is Broken,” coming to the festival circuit in early 2022. Chloe is also a professional drag king who has performed in Los Angeles & Chicago under the name “Christian Rock”. She is driven by storytelling that conveys the complexity, courage, and vulnerability of humanity and illicits a visceral experience for the audience, whatever the medium may be.

She is managed by James Wilson at Wagner Entertainment and represented by Stewart Talent Chicago for film, television, theatre, commercial work, and voiceover.

Transcending Gender:

Chloe Baldwin on her web series ‘Like What You Like’

CINEMA FEMME - Matt Fagerholm November 15, 2019 (tap to read full article)

It was no surprise that when Chloe Baldwin met me at Chicago’s Bourgeois Pig for her Cinema Femme interview two months ago, her sandwich of choice was the Hamlet. Her love of Shakespeare is instantly palpable and utterly infectious. After performing in several stage adaptations of the Bard’s classics, she gathered a crew of friends and fellow actors to create her own web series, “Like What You Like,” a subversive take on Shakespeare’s 1599 pastoral comedy, “As You Like It.” As a woman posing as a man, Baldwin resembles the offspring of Haley Lu Richardson and Cole Sprouse, the teen lovers from this year’s romance, “Five Feet Apart.” Her web series is set to premiere on Friday, December 20th, and is among my most anticipated titles of the holiday season.

In person, Baldwin is an exuberant force of nature, and we had a blast chatting about everything from her role in Steve McQueen’s “Widows” and her endearing song sending up hipsters—which has been a hit at open mic nights—to her efforts in molding the dream role for herself without waiting around for anyone’s permission.

Let’s talk shop. Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It’s interesting being a six foot tall, fight-forward female actor. I don’t fit into a lot of boxes in a lot of ways, and, because I never had the choice to “fit”, in some ways I felt free to be whatever I am and pushed to be undeniable.

The biggest way I’ve found my path and gotten to where I am so far (and how I intend to keep going) is by making friends who are passionate about the same things I am, especially the weird things. They fuel your fire, they make you feel less alone on the journey, they invite you in for projects about those weird things. I’m not talking about networking, even though at the surface level you’re building a network, I’m talking about forming community at a deeper, human level. Who are the people you want to be locked in a box with for 2 years talking about your favorite nerdy things? That’s what the circumstances of creating are like, and that’s what will lead to some of your greatest collaborations and best friends.

BILLBOARD - Gary Graff August 2, 2018

"It's a pretty intricate song with a lot of different parts to it. But for the video we just cast around and found these folks that made the video. We knew they were going to do a good job."
